Frustrated by unresolved family business issues?
What do the world's leading families know that you don't?
Linking Family Businesses

One dimension of networking with other family owners is to learn from them.

However, Loedstar also facilitates exchanges and linkages between family firms that are specifically aimed at growing their business and saving costs. There are four key activities:

* Facilitating the exchange of ideas and experience on a range of business, family office, social investment/philanthropic and investment issues.
* Drawing on specific expertise and the personal network of other families to provide peer-to-peer advice.
* Linking a family firm to another who could be a potential customer or business partner in a different part of the world.
* Making other family firms aware of co-investment opportunities that are being offered by like-minded families, such where one firm is seeking a long-term co-investor in a particular business project. Other opportunities for collaboration include joint venture, distribution or franchise agreements.
* Obtaining better terms with common suppliers for major cost items using the joint purchasing power of a group. For example, to save costs on global personal or commercial insurance.
* Providing a resource of high quality networking and contacts, particularly for doing business outside a family?s usual sectors or country. It can be helpful when entering a new market to speak to a local family who understands the business environment well.
If any of these business areas interest you, or if you have a specific opportunity that could appeal to another family firm, please let us know.
Joining the Loedstar conferences means for me a valuable enrichment of my network.
